From October 2 to 6, the 27th World Road Congress was held in Prague, where our colleagues Andrei, Wetu and Karla represented FNX-INNOV alongside some thirty representatives from the Quebec delegation.

Since its origins, the World Road Association (PIARC) congresses have played a key role in bringing the global road community together to share knowledge and experience and strengthen ties between its various member groups. While the Strategic Plan orients and guides PIARC’s activities during a given cycle, its primary objective always remains international cooperation and technology transfer. In the current cycle, the Strategic Plan comprises four main themes: Road Administrations, Mobility, Resilient Infrastructures and Safety & Sustainability.

This year’s congress was held in the magnificent city of Prague, and brought together over 3,500 delegates from all over the world. The Quebec delegation was proudly represented by some thirty members from various firms and entities, including the Association québécoise du transport et des routes (AQTR) and the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTMD). This presence was all the more special in that it celebrated the 50th anniversary of Quebec’s active involvement in the World Road Association (PIARC). The 50th anniversary stand, shared between the Quebec and Canadian Pavilions, was an excellent focal point, and the presence of MTMD Deputy Minister Frédéric Pellerin added an important dimension to the Pavilion.

Throughout the convention, the atmosphere was particularly positive, testifying to the efficient organization of this major event. The numerous technical conferences offered unique learning opportunities, helping to strengthen participants’ skills and knowledge. What’s more, the exchanges between the various companies from all over the world enriched everyone’s experience, bringing varied perspectives and innovative ideas.

Our colleagues Andrei, Wetu and Karla were able to create valuable links with the Quebec and Canadian delegations, as well as taking part in numerous technical conferences. A memorable and enriching experience for each of them, enabling them to establish international links, share technical expertise and deepen their understanding of global road issues.

A great visibility for FNX-INNOV in the field of transportation on a global scale!
