A privileged look at the new paddocks
On Wednesday, May 15, the new paddocks at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve were inaugurated and our team of specialists in Soil and Materials Engineering and Building Sciences had the opportunity to participate.
In the presence of several partners and dignitaries, including the Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, and the Formula 1 grand boss, Chase Carey, the new paddocks at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve were inaugurated after 10 intensive months of work coordinated by the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau. The 2019 edition of the Canadian Grand Prix, which will begin on June 7, will be able to rely on this new modern, accessible, eco-responsible and state-of-the-art facility.
It should be remembered that our team of specialists in Soil and Materials Engineering and Building Sciences has been mandated to monitor and control the quality of materials for the demolition of the old paddocks and the construction of the new paddocks. Our specialists provided quality control laboratory services for all materials on a permanent basis throughout the project, for cement concrete structures, controlled backfill, steel structures, wood structure, as well as monitoring the building’s waterproofing and roofing work to ensure optimal performance.
A major project for FNX-INNOV that positions the company as an expert in this field and enhances its visibility thanks to this modern, bright and versatile building, an iconic new building for the City of Montreal.
