Field Perspective :

The P’tit Train du Nord linear park

Here’s a new episode of our “Field Perspective” series, in which we unveil video capsules that illustrate the diversity and innovation of our projects. For this capsule, our film crew travelled to Sainte-Agathe to bring you footage of the 18-km refurbishment of the P’tit train du Nord linear park.

In 2021, the MRC des Laurentides received a grant from Tourisme Québec to refurbish an 18 km section of the P’tit Train du Nord linear park, located between Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Mont-Blanc. This section of the park presented a number of technical problems, including drainage and inadequate foundations. We are pleased that the solution recommended by our teams for this project has facilitated safe access for a wide public, including children, the elderly and those with special mobility needs.

Jessee Tremblay, our Assistant Department Manager – Urban Infrastructures explains in more detail what this is all about, with breathtaking images from our drone pilot Carl Blanchet, Project Manager in the Surveying – Data Acquisition department.
