FNX-INNOV proud partner of the Congrès IngénieurE au féminin in Sherbrooke
The Congrès IngénieurE au féminin, of which FNX-INNOV was a partner, is an initiative of the Génie au féminin student group of the Université de Sherbrooke’s Faculty of Engineering, and brought together students, professionals and companies to discuss Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the engineering field.
Our colleagues Karine, Sandra, Alaa and Geneviève were on hand behind the FNX-INNOV booth to introduce and represent us, while promoting engineering to women. They were delighted to sense the genuine interest of young women in our field, our organizations and the projects we run. It was an extremely enriching experience for them, marked by some wonderful encounters.
They also attended several conferences at the event, including one given by professional video gamer Stéphanie Harvey on our role as cybercitizens, which also included discussions on e-Gaming and EDI. Psychology researcher Catherine Raymond led a conference on stress management, and Université de Sherbrooke Civil Engineering Department Professor Nathalie Roy shared her expertise on non-linear pathways.
Bravo to our colleagues for their participation and for contributing to the enthusiasm of young women to explore our field.
