Our Water Treatment colleagues receive an award at STEQ
Organized by Réseau environnement, the Salon des technologies environnementales du Québec (STEQ) is a must-attend event for environmental specialists. Our colleagues shone at the event where they received the Fernand-Séguin award.
STEQ was held at the Lévis Convention Center, with over 600 participants and nearly 60 conferences. FNX-INNOV was a proud partner of the session on non-standardized harmful compounds (C3N) in wastewater. The opening address was given by our colleague Allison Bale, Director – Water Treatment. Following lectures by professors from Polytechnique de Montréal and École de technologie supérieure, a panel discussion on C3Ns followed. Bringing together representatives from the Ministries of the Environment and Municipal Affairs, universities and the Fédération québécoise des municipalités (FQM), this panel was moderated by our colleague Marc-André Desjardins, Vice-President – Environment. Among other things, we learned that the MELCCFP has set up a scientific table on C3Ns. Something to keep an eye on!
The Fernand-Séguin distinction awarded to us at STEQ
We were also extremely honoured at this event to receive the Fernand Séguin distinction for our article entitled “Mise à niveau des étangs aérés de Rivière-du-Loup : Oser l’innovation”, published in June 2023 in the magazine Vecteur Environnement and co-authored by Marc-André Desjardins. This recognition underscores the excellence of our article and its contribution to the advancement of knowledge. A fine prize for a project that once again demonstrates that environmental performance and innovation can go hand in hand!
Thank you to Allison et Marc-André for showcasing our expertise at this major environmental event, and well done for this well-deserved recognition!
