The 3rd edition of the Engineers Without Borders Quebec (EWBQ) softball tournament was held on June 15. Thanks to the generosity of the 18 participating teams and 184 players, over $21,000 was raised to support Engineers Without Borders' international cooperation projects.
To mark World Environment Day on June 5 and 6, a hundred or so of our colleagues got together to take part in the TrashTag Challenge organized by the Artelia Foundation, a civic-minded operation to collect trash around our offices.
FNX-INNOV's team of Materials Engineering and Quality Control specialists has been commissioned by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable to carry out quality control and materials engineering for the extension of Route 138. The 9.1-km stretch between Tête-à-la-Baleine and La Tabatière will help reduce the isolation of residents who currently have to travel by boat, plane or snowmobile.
Giving Tuesday and food donation campaigns have brightened up many of our offices in recent weeks. In collaboration with the Artelia Foundation, our participation in the games and toys campaign for Giving Tuesday was a success. In addition, the Sherbrooke offices also collected food and money to help families in need as the holiday season approaches.
FNX-INNOV's team of high-voltage specialists will provide all engineering services for Hydro One's Waasigan station upgrade program in Ontario, a project carried out in collaboration with local communities.
On Sunday September 24, the FNX-INNOV clean-up event was held in both Boucherville and Sept-Îles. Many wanted to experience the event as a family, and it was inspiring to see young and old working hard to collect as much garbage as possible.
